excellent work and very nice render! i too would like to see a low poly mesh version. also here is something i (rather embarrassingly) have never understood is... how do u get the gaps between parts of the body and use mesh smooth... do u chamfer or split it apart so they are actually separate parts?

*shrugs* thanks for any info

In blender they let you crease the subdivision so that you can still have sharp edges but have the rest of the model be smoothed out

u chamfer thm and thn extrude the polys that show up after the chamfering

Well actually what I do is, Outline the door, then take that line and extrude inwards, directly afterwards when the extrueded line is still selected I split it. than I select the two other line (the ones other than the one in the middle which is now extruded and split) and I chamfer them slightly, this gives it a nice edge after meshsmooth is applied. if yougo to select element you should be able to select just the door, which then you can detach to a new element if you wish.

quality, thanks for the reply got to spend some more time with 3DS.... for example... for which tool do u use to outline? do u have to cut? and how do i select elements?

thanks again

what about when you apply mesh smooth? can you select smoothing groups and it'll leave those bits alone? thanks again

nicely done, do you think you can put up a wireframe? of the low poly mesh, not the meshsmooth/nurbs/etc version?
