Based on welsh folklore.

Amongst the bushes along the banks of the peaceful rivers and lakes in Wales, a harmless looking creature lurks. It resembles a frog but has a long strong tail and in its older years it develops large bat-like wings. It sits in the bushes waiting for a unsuspecting fisherman to pass by, then it strikes! Not many have escaped the Water Leaper so it's story is not a well known one...

I just wanted to try out drawing a frog really, never tried before, and then I stumbled upon this old folklore. Next time I go to the local lake or river, I will keep my wits about me

I am personally not too keen on the tail, think I got the angle a bit wrong on it, I like the head though
