Please Clicky for Bigness! Its Worth it, i promise!
I have to say i am very happy with how this turned out. I discovered doing this one, that sometimes Less Is More. I loved this model by *Lisajen-stock so much, but everything i did with it turned out messed up. Then today, whilst browsing stock.exchg i found this great image of the steps and i knew i had found the perfect background.
I discovered with this, that fancy textures, heavy filters and over-zealous brushing was never going to work with such a delicate model, so i kept all the embellishments to a minimum and concentrated on making sure she looked right in her new home. I hope i did it well.
This is Branwen. (Pronounced Bran_winn) Means "beautiful raven" from Welsh - bran: "raven" and gwen: "fair, blessed"

I am so proud of this image, but everytime i looked at it, the watermark was putting me off. I have taken it off and just added the signature instead. - Also, this is a bigger version. Thankyou for all the attention, faves, comments and features it has got.

This is an incredibly beautiful work. I can almost believe I really am looking at Branwen daughter of Llyr from the Mabinogion. By the way, I took a look at the photostock you used and in your hands, you transformed it into something magical. That's real art!

Just keep submitting your stuff over there. I get cool receptions on a lot of stuff as well...oh, I get comments, but they're superficial. It's still a bit of a 'different' site, but the exposure's good and it's to a more focused audience. They'll come to know you better and appreciate you once they see you regularly. Plus, when they see more artists focusing on things beyond sigs, it gives them interest in other areas as well.
You'd probably even get a better reception at gimptalk, but I've even posted some stuff there recently and all they want are tutorials.
You definitely outdid yourself on this one!

I must say, if you've seen Vertigo (Hitchcock) This reminds me of where "Madeleine" runs up to the top of the church tower. The spirally stairs and all.
Love how you've combined the model and the background, this time you've really managed to fit them in well.

I have never actually seen that film. Its one of those ones i always mean to get around to watching, but never do. I love the Birds. I am sure he also directed Notorious (which is totally amazing) I love those sorts of films. Real Saturday night-in films.

Looks just like a photo, great job with the shadow on the wall!

Well, its sometimes best not to try and improve on nature! The shadow on the wall is off the actual picture too. I rendered that with the model as i knew i would never be able to recreate the shadow as good as the natural one. It was a simple case of using Blur to blend it into the wall!

I had to go back and see what you were talking about and that's even more impressive then that you took her shadow from the original! And I thought I had added it to my fav's and I didn't, so I fixed that
