The Super Mario Bros 2 manual states that Shy Guys belong to a club called the 8-Bits. I didnβt know what that was supposed to mean then, and I still donβt now. But I do know that a club needs some badass denim.Related content

Those characters in Japan are called "HeihΕ" which is a Japanese pun for "foot soldier" (Hohei) and what Snow White's dwarves sang as they worked. They are likely meant to be Snow White's dwarves, and the reason they wear the mask is to avoid being spotted doing a second job. (Or copyright infringement)

For a minute in the thumbnail, I thought this was some sort of blobfish in a sweater. Then I read the comments and noticed the familiar face on the correct front side.

That manual said all kinds of things. It also says that Birdo is trans, with all the sensitivity youβd expect from the late 80s.
