I'm not suprised they have been making people think of mexican/americas folk art. I grew up with alot of oaxacan art and it's really fixed into my subconcious!

Heh....I was right on! As an anthropology major my favorite part of the world to study is the americas(south and central)...they just have soo much fascinating art....all those sharp teeth ^^

is this made of super sculpey? and do you use, like, an underwire base or something? IAnd what is that you painted it with?? It's so awesome and sleek looking! I just love it! I'm in AP 3d/sculpture/ceramics right now and i've been working with plaster all year I'd love try out something that comes out looking so perfect and store-bought! and I love that you gave it a furry background.

Yup, the original was made with super sculpey with an underwire aluminum wire base. Super sculpey rules!. The one you see there is a plastic copy of that original painted with acrylic paints. i think I airbrushed the first pink coat which gives it that smooth look. Also I sanded the plastic copy until my hands almost fell off to get it REALLY smooth...

He's even more adorable. I like how useful his claws look. Like if you took him to work and put him on your desk he would claw out the eyes of everyone with inspirational posters or photos of babies, all while you work.
