Ironically, between my scanner and my webcam, the webcam does a better job of preserving color and contrast - the scanner washes everything out. Unfortunately, the pictures are too low res to really show much detail. They suck equally.

yes, but when your scanner is hijacked by your uncle, you have to make due!

Scanners are evil. They will eat your work and throw it up on your watchers.

I do agree, but I rather have a good camera that funtions as a bad scanner than a good scanner that can't take any pictures .D

Haha yessss
very true
And another thing I find, is that when I try to use my digital cam, the picture always gets distorted.
I have a scanner, but alas it's not a very good one so it cam ends up being the better choice sometimes O_o.

People use digital cameras because:
1: They don't have a scanner and don't have the money to buy one
or 2: For some reason aren't allowed
Try not to make a big protest about it, please. :/ What's the problem with digital cameras anyways?

Yes, and I am one of those people. I also know several people who have to use a digital camera instead. Not one of them likes it. =/
I'm stating my opinion on the matter. I certainly have a right to make a stamp about it, as I would have used this if someone else had made it.
And the problem is that digital cameras make the pictures look blurry, faded, shiny, or just plain odd. They are not a suitable substitute for scanners, and that is what I am saying.
It's really unfortunate when people have to use them, but I'm not bashing anyone who does. I use them, myself, as I've already stated.
I really don't think I'm making a big protest about it by making a stamp.

Stamps are usually the start of protests.
Sure digital cameras aren't all that great, but what else can they do? *shrugs* It's like having to write on Notepad because Microsoft Word wouldn't work and it ends up having typos. There's really not much of a choice.
This is just my two cents, really.

Really? The stamps that I generally collect aren't, and neither are the ones I make. I didn't intend for this to be a protest.
If that's all you have, than there's nothing else that you can do. It's true, but all I'm saying here is that it's not something that most people enjoy doing. A scanner is undoubtedly better for this sort of thing than digital cameras are, and most people would prefer it.
Using a digital camera causes a lot of frustration, and I wouldn't say it's really the same thing as having to use Notepad versus Word (of course it's just an analogy, but still). In that case you can go back and correct your mistakes, even if it takes a while. In the case of digital cameras, you really can't. A lot of the time it's just too messed up to fix.
I simply made this stamp because everyone I know in this situation hates it, myself included, and it's nice to have something represent the way you feel.
