MAOS = Monterey Academy of Oceanographic Science. Was a special program at my high school with more advanced and faster paced classes. (a lot of the AP classes) Fyi the other programs included one for art and another for sports - MAOS was the science one that I took.They had a t-shirt contest where students could submit their illustrations of marine life to be featured as the new "logo". My design won, as shown.
If you look closely, you can see that the shirts were made in 2004, right under my Jw initials. My original drawing can be found here: [link]
Using photoshop, the original pencil drawing was inversed and colored blue to make a striking neon image for the back of the shirts. The front featured the original old MAOS logo (small) made by a past professor.
The design was printed on black hooded sweatshirts and t-shirts, and they sold like hotcakes!!
I for one love these shirts and continue to wear them all the time. I get a kick out of seeing these shirts worn by passersby in my hometown. ;D

I belive they are still selling them at Monterey High School. Though I am not 100% sure. I'm glad you like it enough to wear!
