Anyway, the song lyrics used in the picture are taken from "Heavy in Your Arms," by Florence + the Machine. I absolutely love her voice and thought the song captured the essence of the character really well! (Okay, given she's a nobody and technically doesn't possess a "heart," but it still fits, right?)

Xirian's story is one of love, betrayal, bitterness, and strength in the face of the most trying of times. In the end, she finds that love in its true form is stronger than any of the fear, hatred, or darkness of which surrounds her so, and is able to emerge a victor over the trials as a result.

I had a lot of fun working on this picture and hope it did her justice. I went through a couple rough concepts until I finally arrived at a design that captured her essence. I hope you like it, Shang!
