Sorry for such a long hiatus. I got it in the home repair section of my local Walmart. I'm sure they could be found at a hardware store as well.

Very nice! But one question...... whats a bonbon? XD

MissyMayhem In reply to LinkHalo00 [2011-05-28 01:22:31 +0000 UTC]

The name bonbon (or bon-bon) refers to any of several types of sweets, especially small candies enrobed in chocolate.

Most usually (In the US) are ice cream filled but I did a more cake-like, petit four deal.

this is great! but wouldn't you texture the inside of the cake?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MissyMayhem In reply to dangomelans [2011-04-29 20:16:21 +0000 UTC]

I didn't because I was going for more of a "Bon-Bon" type filling like in the title. That type of filling is usually creamy and the bite would leave the surface smooth. If this was more of a "cake" then yes, I would imagine one would want to texture the inside.

However, anyone can do whatever they think looks best for them.

Great tutorial!! Does the TLS work well for sticking in the eye-pin?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MissyMayhem In reply to Ode-Chan [2011-01-23 02:05:12 +0000 UTC]

Yes! I always thought it was like an extra tool, an extra expense but I love it. It's very strong, dries clear. I use it now to bond clay elements and eye pins. I highly recommend it.

I love this! ;3 What kind of clay are you using?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MissyMayhem In reply to IndonesianElephant [2011-01-23 02:06:40 +0000 UTC]

Sculpey brand Polymer Clay. I'm sure Fimo would be similar to use.
