Description So at around 3:30 or so I couldn't sleep last night. Just before that I watched the entire flash series "There She Is!!" again for the first time in a couple years or more actually.
Forgot how absolutely freaking adorable and heartwarming it is I wanted to melt everywhere when I was finished :I
So when I couldn't sleep, I grabbed my brush pen and made this.
Doki and Nabi are the best holy crap I need to go watch that again.

Nothing wrong with other people liking it. My friend Noogai first showed it to me, and boy, was he disappointed when I didn't like it. I just didn't get it. Thought it was boring and didn't make any sense.

NintendoSegaSonyGuy In reply to Mister-Saturn [2013-07-01 20:09:42 +0000 UTC]

Story of my life...

Personally, and a got into an argument about this with someone (I won the argument), I think you're (not YOU, Mr. Saturn specifically, but I mean "you" in the general sense) allowed to love, like, be neutral about, dislike or hate anything. No one can be offended by your opinion, because it's your opinion, and that's that. BUT! If you disagree with someone, you're a shithead if you start mocking their opinion or saying how stupid it is. There's a difference between hating something and hating ON SOMEONE. Hate is NOT a strong word, like how everyone says it is. It's a simple degree of preference one may have for absolutely anything. In my opinion, if you say "I hate that," other people shouldn't be offended, just as long as you don't start hating on other peoples' opinions.

Mister-Saturn In reply to NintendoSegaSonyGuy [2013-07-12 04:49:42 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah of course.
There's no point in attacking someone about their opinion. I've learned that over time.
I just don't get this whole My Little Pony craze, but I'm not going to go around bashing people's pony artwork, that's not fair to them. I know I'd hate it if people were bashing my art for whatever reason :I
It's not like you're about to change someone's opinion just because you disagree with them, you know?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

NintendoSegaSonyGuy In reply to Mister-Saturn [2013-07-24 13:48:09 +0000 UTC]

Lol, I watched the first episode of My Little Pony...and it wasn't bad. It was actually pretty interesting, from what I remember. That being said, a lot of Bronies (and who the hell came up with THAT name? I don't even know what it means or what word(s) it's derived from) are middle-aged men. Some fans are fucking creepy. It'd be hard for me to except any of that.

Yeah, exactly. I try to see everyone's side of things, so my opinion tends to be subject to change, but yeah. A few choice words won't immediately change things.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mister-Saturn In reply to NintendoSegaSonyGuy [2013-07-29 02:43:58 +0000 UTC]

Oh yeah. Well I mean I watched the first episode too. I could see the appeal in some ways (it was certainly a very well-made cartoon) but I couldn't get past the whole concept of it being about ponies in a magical pony land about friendship and with names like Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash.
Of course I don't care if someone else likes it, just not for me :I
I'll never understand though why the majority of the fans are men our age and older. And I'll never take the creepy stuff. That I don't approve of. I mean once again I won't go around bashing said creepy fans, but I still don't approve :I

NintendoSegaSonyGuy In reply to Mister-Saturn [2013-07-31 01:14:28 +0000 UTC]

Yeah...I prefer parodies, like this one: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxAJqv…

I'll bash people who are TOO creepy. Cuz...come on. Someone needs to slap sense into these people. I like this guy's opinions of Bronies: www.youtube.com/watch?v=OBXpKT…

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mister-Saturn In reply to NintendoSegaSonyGuy [2013-08-08 03:08:54 +0000 UTC]

...what did I just watch xDDD

I can agree with what he's saying yeah for sure. I don't hate that many things at all but hardcore, overly-obsessive fans are mad scary. I just stay the hell away from it all :I
If someone is pestering me about it THEN I'll have something to say to them. Though I will generally address something I don't like.

it really was!! even though it was relatively short, you really grew to care about the characters. they were so fun. XD and the song choices were really good, too. XD such an awesome series.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mister-Saturn In reply to crazypsychomonkey [2013-06-21 05:29:29 +0000 UTC]

They developed them over a short period of time really well, just really well done overall ;u;
The music made it XD Not my usual choice of music but they fit so well and they were so catchy

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

crazypsychomonkey In reply to Mister-Saturn [2013-06-21 15:43:18 +0000 UTC]

yeah, even characterswho show up a total of like two times become such favorites. XD (my personal faves from the supporting cast: the bunny gang )
i'm open to (almost) any music, especially foreign. but yeah, they were really catchy; all of the songs were excellent choices. i went crazy the other day and hunted them all down and downloaded them so i'd have just the songs to listen to when i felt like it. XD and i taught myself the greensleeves intro to step 5 because i LOVE IT SOOOOO MUCH. XD

... listen to us neeeeeerds. XD

(Oh yeah, I loved those guys. I also like Pizza, the body guard. He was cool stuff)
Oh yeah I have them all...in varying levels of quality but I do XD. The band who did the song on the 4th step (the super depressing one) is actually pretty good, I found some other songs they did.
Oh you taught yourself that? Nice nice : D
I've been attempting to make an acoustic rendition of the song in the final step but it hasn't gotten very far.

Nerd talk is the best talk.

yeah, the supporting cast were all so cool. XD
i downloaded all the videos, too, quite a while ago. XD
yeah, i think i've also heard a few other songs from the various groups. XD i like exploring music and bands.
yep, on my flute. some of those runs are pretty difficult. *laugh*

always. XD

crazypsychomonkey In reply to Mister-Saturn [2013-07-12 16:07:41 +0000 UTC]

hehe. XD
me too. i'll listen to nearly anything just to try it. XD
there are people (myself possibly included, depending on my self-esteem that day) who would argue that what i do can really only be called "trying," so don't feel bad. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mister-Saturn In reply to crazypsychomonkey [2013-07-14 01:06:24 +0000 UTC]

I'm pretty good about trying things XD
Hey that's all right though, at least you're trying then! That's the only way to get better XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

crazypsychomonkey In reply to Mister-Saturn [2013-07-14 01:27:53 +0000 UTC]

i like to think of myself as open-minded. even if something is from a genre i generally don't like, if someone recommends a song or something i try to give it an honest listen, because there's always a few exceptions to the rule. XD
i've been playing for eight years and i still suck. *laugh* XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mister-Saturn In reply to crazypsychomonkey [2013-07-14 01:43:25 +0000 UTC]

Yeah same same. One of my friends loves hip-hop and I never really got into it, but I usually check it out if he suggests it. He knows good hip-hop after all.
But yeah, there's always that exception. I'm currently checking out a very hardcore band. Very heavy and lots of screaming. Unusual for me but I'm actually kinda enjoying it XD
Oh pfff I'm sure you're better than you think too but still

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

crazypsychomonkey In reply to Mister-Saturn [2013-07-14 05:14:56 +0000 UTC]

country and rap/hip-hop are my no-go genres. though there are a few country songs i almost like. there are probably some hip-hop songs/bands(?) that are the exceptions to the rule, too. XD
in the meantime, my two no-go genres are pretty much the two defining genres of my area: if you're not a redneck, you're a wangster, so i'm pretty much always assaulted by my least favorite music whenever i venture out into the real world. *laugh* XD

yeah, i usually don't really like loud music (i like to be able to actually discern the notes in order for it to be called music) but my brother's been into a few metal bands lately that i find my self enjoying. XD

i'm not great. never have been. XD i never did practice a lot. still don't. i'm probably so rusty it hurts by now. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mister-Saturn In reply to crazypsychomonkey [2013-07-16 02:23:06 +0000 UTC]

Oh geeze XD
I'm usually turned off by those (particularly country) but I've learned that genre doesn't mean much these days anyway. There's bound to be something I like in nearly every genre. I just haven't found any FAVORITES in those genres xD
My friend (who's big into hip-hop/rap) got me a Kanye West album and I was actually pleasantly surprised. I don't listen to it a ton but it was actually pretty good.
That's true though, there's no one around here who listens to what I like either XD

Oh man, I like everything from the loudest to the softest music. I found a band the other day called The Dillinger Escape Plan and it was the most chaotic and noisy hardcore music I've heard in a looong time. But I actually enjoyed it. Then I turn around and buy a Simon & Garfunkel album >u> ;

(Sorry I ramble about music a lot XD ;;; )

Eh it's whatever though XD ;

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

crazypsychomonkey In reply to Mister-Saturn [2013-07-16 16:15:09 +0000 UTC]

lol, yeh. XD hip-hop is more likely to be appealing to me, provided i can dance to it. i lurves me some whoredancin. XD

yep. curse our original tastes in music. XD

lol, same here! XD i've got everything from John Meyer to celtic/folk to classical to Disturbed on my mp3! XD

yeah, lately my brother's been listening to a lot of nordic metal, which i've also been liking a lot. i'm pretty sure one of the bands he listens to is finnish. XD and i've also kind of gotten a taste for scottish pirate metal. so: pirate metal and viking metal. good times. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mister-Saturn In reply to crazypsychomonkey [2013-07-18 00:15:15 +0000 UTC]

Oh I"m not much of a dancer myself but if the music is interesting enough I'll enjoy it XD

OH nice XD Always good to have that range of style. Keeps things interesting.

I have a friend who listened to a bit of that too XD
Never really heard it much but still XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

crazypsychomonkey In reply to Mister-Saturn [2013-07-18 00:37:38 +0000 UTC]

oh, i never used to like dancing, namely because i didn't know how. then i said "fuck it" and had a blast. been dancing like a whore and loving it ever since. XD

yeah, except when they turn on the radio at work and you wanna stab your ears out. XD

i generally don't like metal- too noisy and shouty for me. but if i can hear distinct notes and melodies, and i can actually understand the lyrics, i'm more likely to enjoy it. XD

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mister-Saturn In reply to crazypsychomonkey [2013-07-18 00:43:06 +0000 UTC]

xDDDDD
I've only danced at dances a couple times. I probably just looked like a tool but whatever *shrug*

Oh yeah, but the radio only ever plays garbage :I
Except on rare occasions on very specific stations

Yeah true XD
I've taken to screaming more than I used to but I still prefer singing
