I looked inside myself the other day and realized that I'm nothing more than thousands of little pieces, many of them in opposition to the others, held together by skin and a little bit of glue or tape, maybe some string. Further investigation of the pieces and their grievances has led me to conclude that I will never find the happiness I've been looking for, and that any contentment or peace is a temporary, passing illusion.Even if I'm in good company, at the end of the night I feel alone. Too many shadows beside me, inside me. I lost my light. All I have left is what I can reflect, and the dying embers of my own afterglow. And like any other thing that's hot enough to glow, I'll burn you if you touch me, don't risk it. People and love aren't things to belong to me. No one ever stays, no matter how pretty the forever they promise. I can hold onto them for awhile and then they slip through my fingers. Easier to hold mercury in the palm of my hand, and just as poisonous.
This is photo evidence of the damage, but my policy won't cover it.

It's a pity to harvest such pain. I agree we never will become as happy as we all wished for, maybe the kind of happiness found in our childhood or just some weird fantasy about how people seem to feel around us. But really, difficult moments in life are made to help happiness bloom around, and never will those tiny pieces of our lives will be permanent, which is the true beauty of joy and inner peace. Life is a struggle, of course. But to reach into complete darkness because you haven't got all of it at once, and thus forever? Please.

To a great extent, I agree with greendaypunk13. Maybe I wouldn't have expressed myself so optimistically, because I'm not in a state where faith is abundant myself, but I am nevertheless sure that true, clean, and painless love, hope and healing will come to you, and in a form way better than creepy fangirls. It is a fucked up world with fucked up people who tend to fuck up the breakable ones carelessly, but I do believe that people with heart, loyalty and mercy and not yet extinct. I'll pray for your new beginning to any deity who would listen.
As for the photo, I have this to say: "What stood before him was far more horrifying in its soft, abused innocence." Sorry, it's awfully dumb to be quoting myself, but these are the only words that came to mind. This picture is heartbreaking.

God, its your eyes that really got to me in this photo... they're so beautiful, but filled with so much hurt. I know that you don't know me and that we've never met before, but I think I know how you feel. And its an evil fucking feeling. Hang in there though, eh?

You aren't alone in your feelings. You're never alone no matter how far away people are, mentally or physically. Unfortunately I don't know you personally but I for one can say that I never leave my friends, no matter what they do to me. I hold on and don't let go. but from that text it seems like you have experienced the people you held dear walking out on you or betraying you, which is very unfortunate.
