Aw, you poor thing. I can relate. I don't have Lupus, but I have a heart and brain problem and ME and FM/CFS resulted.

thank you well actually I have been very lucky with the lupus well I guess all of it. I have always been a strong minded person. When I was sick and in and out of hospitals I got so tired of being a pin cushion I said thats enough and walked out never to return again. That was over 20 yrs ago.
I firmly believe in the power of mind over matter.
I refuse to let this crap control me.
Painting as I do takes my mind off things.
I am not being treated by a Dr for any of it. I just go when I need anti biotic.
I can see how drawing and listening to music can help u as well.

I couldn't agree with you more on that, I also refuse to let this crap control my life. I control my life and the illnesses are just setbacks.
You are very strong minded indeed. Did you have a bad experience in the hospitals? I did. I was seeing a team of 5 doctors who thought I was insane. They didn't believe in the illness. Only 'insane mental' people got this. I walked in, and was wheeled out in a chair a month later. I still need it thanks to them. They totally mistreated me.
I'm glad that you don't need to see your doctors much. Take good care okay!!

well honestly I did not have a bad experience while in hospitals its just I was so young and mentally pushed to my limits. They always kept me 16 + days at a time always in the hematology/oncology ward so all my room mates were dying. I couldnt handle it anymore and left.
I control it pretty good but sometimes it wins over my body problem now is I have no health insurance so seeing a Dr is a rare thing.
Now the only meds I take are water pills, blood pressure and cholesterol meds and thats cuz i get them for 4.00 a piece.
I take ibuprofen for my illness it helps with the inflammation.
I am so sorry that this hospital mistreated u did u sue their ass?

That wasn't a very pleasant place to be, especially at that age. I am 15 and I am sure if I was placed in that ward, I would leave as well.
Yeah, sometimes it takes over, but keeping strong and positive really helps! I know having a healthcare card gets your medication for $5.30 for everything, in most cases!

We are seriously thinking about it! I am so pissed off at ALL of them. I feel like turning my back on the medical world. That doesn't put me in a better situation though. We are going to do something about it though, they had no right to treat me like that!
I mean, I have problems walking right, I got out of my bed to go to the bathroom and I fainted and fell. The night nurse was yelling at me to get up and get back to bed. I had to go to the bathroom! I fainted. She's a nurse, shouldn't she help me up and check if I was okay HAHA!?!??...IDOT!

I agree, It is utterly bullshit! I have just started a business called BS-designs. (one of the things it stands for is actually bullshit!) If you'd like to check them out.
My storyline represents my anger toward my illnesses. They get their revenge on my 'ex-doctors' (which are also characters) and they can't go to jail for it haha!
Yeah, I have a bit of writing above my bed saying 'Take it a day at a time.' If you can do that today, you can do it the next day!
