Part of the trouble with photographing the autumn scenery in Kentucky is that some of the most beautiful foliage is growing beside busy roads like this. You're taking your life into your hands if you park and walk along the side of the road like I did. Worse, you won't get any good shots that way; the wind from the traffic buffets you and the road is vibrating so much that any shot you try to get is going to be ruined. So, from my own experience I don't recommend it.
