A map of the New Empire - East.I finished this map last year as a commission for writer John Ruch and his series Arrowmask
The map is a close-up from another one I drew for him earlier, mostly showing main cities of this small part of the world. So much fun to work on this one, with such a great guy !

Ooooh that's a pretty one. My favourite bits are the mountains and the way you incorporated a general view of each city! It fires the imagination is what it does.

Mountains are always my favorite drawing step on a map, but I do enjoy to draw those kind of towns as well. They're not always appropriate since they hide a large part of the geography, but when a book is mostly about interactions between cities and their different cultures, it's the occasion to have fun ! ^^
