This is a marker sketch I did of the Rumor from the Umbrella Academy. the UA was an awesome comic, one of the best I've read in a long time. There were a lot of really great character in the book. The Rumor was my favorite.Related content

Yeah, Rumor is pretty damn awesome
But to be honest my favourite characters are Seance and Vanya..

I honestly think "la viole blance" is pure genius. I could never have come up with that.. but maybe you need to have been a partially psychotic kid living in your imagination to come up with stuff like that xD
Me, I have my own weird ideas.. like lately I had this whole futuristic "I, Robot" type thing going, but unfortunately it IS a little similar to "I, Robot" and that sucks.

I wouldn't worry about it. Every idea has been done.
Just take what you like from other sories/movies/whatever and twist it. Infuse your own characters and their personalities. It'll always come out different than what you've emulated.
