Description The main concept of the 40 min. sketch was the indiscriminate use of Yellow!! It started as a doodle and then I grabbed that yellow pastel...

I`m pretty happy with the result and I think it`s was a very good opportunity to practice a closeup portrait. I wanted more freckles but I felt it could ruin the drawing! Someday I will be skillful enough to get them in sensibly.

I called the piece Sunflower because of the obvious colour relationship, but also because of the strong solar theme and summery feel the piece ended up having.
