love the delicacy/pinkness of the rose. i think that roses that are a bit "past their best" make better subjects and have that element of sadness builtin.

A dying rose... A dying love? A book with a rose... A dying story? How poetic! I love it. Its almost as if the rose's pigment has simply drained. The longer you look at this photo, the more the name "Sadness" is fitting.
