SHADOWY Beauty mine, when thou shalt sleep
In the deep heart of a black marble tomb;
When thou for mansion and for bower shalt keep
Only one rainy cave of hollow gloom;

And when the stone upon thy trembling breast,
And on thy straight sweet body's supple grace,
Crushes thy will and keeps thy heart at rest,
And holds those feet from their adventurous race;

During long nights when sleep is far from thee,

My 2nd entry for the Baudelaire contest "Flowers of Evil" hosted by *lugubrum-stock and ~Rowi-Stock . (See all the details in their journals.)

This idea lingered in my mind over a week as well. There had to be a girl in gas mask and callas sprouting from her body.

Well, this is the result. Not quite as I planned it at first, but then again, they never ever come out as I plan. They twist and turn. Yes, I actually like my first work better, but then again, I cannot compare them much. They are a way too different.

Many many layers and painting with the background. And then much work and even more with the girl and callas. I have found callas are one of my favourite flowers. The white ones. I am not very keen on the other colours. I really ought to go on favouring spree on DA. There are SO many beautiful pictures and photos of them. All the callas sprouting from the girls body come from ~Rowi-Stock gallery. The rest I had to get from sxc.hu, since there are hardly none in DA. We need more callas

Cutting out the gas mask cord.... now that was something I do not wish to do for some time

Oh, and this work and HP fanfiction might be the reason why it is past 5 in the morning and I am still awake. And babbling.
