Kirby's awake, but he's suffered a palette swap! It's the same color scheme he had briefly in the first episode of the anime, but the circumstances are a bit different now.

I thought about making a status post / journal for a few comic announcements, but I think I'd rather just stick them here:

I've set up a ComicFury site for the comic! All of the pages I have posted here have been mirrored there and future pages will be updated at the same time you'd expect them here (9 AM Pacific Daylight Time on Saturdays). I learned a little CSS code to tinker with a site template so I could put my own spin on it. Hopefully you like it! They're a couple advantages to reading it over there: you can navigate pages easier (click / tap the image to go to the next page or use the left and right arrows to seek pages on a keyboard), the image quality is a bit higher than the uploads here, there's an option to read the comic in scroll view, and there's no ads. If you can, I'd recommend viewing the site on a computer, since the page images are zoomed in by default.

My core membership will run out in the middle of April and since scheduling posts is a core-only feature I can't guarantee that the comic will update at exactly 9 AM on DA anymore (outside of instances where someone gifts me a month's worth of core membership). However, you can expect timely updates on ComicFury since there's no barrier to entry there! So if I happen to get sidetracked on a Saturday and the upload is late, head over to the ComicFury site and the new page should be there!

On a smaller note, the overarching comic does have a different name now: "Kirby Right Back at Ya: Encore!" I've thought the name "Kirby's Return to Right Back at Ya" was clunky for a while now, but it took me a while to think of an alternative I liked and was reluctant to change the name this far into it. At least the new one is a bit more streamlined, even if it still isn't the most unique title ever lol. But because people still know the comic as its original name, I'm going to keep "Kirby's Return to Right Back at Ya" as the name of the first segment of the story (pages 1 to 140). So think of KRTRBAY as more of a episode / book title.

Putting together a ComicFury site has been on my radar since 2021 and although I started one back then, I left it unfinished until recently. Honestly, DA's increasingly heavy-handed promotion of AI "art" lit a fire under me to start posting in at least one other place, and thankfully ComicFury takes a firm stance against it. I still plan on posting pages here for now, but I don't blame anyone who's fed up with this place.
