Aaahh~ I'm not sure what a 'Gi Jinka' is exactly, but this strawberry lass is so pretty!! The anatomy and pose is so strong, and I love how you added in the details like the shape of her ribcage, like she's stretching out herΒ solar plexus (at least that's what my belly dancing exercise videos call that XD). The strawberry costume is very creative, and I love the leaves on the skirt, they look so realistic. Her expression is great, too, she looks like she's in the zone, so confident and serene. Great warm up sketch!!
Haha, I remember when Photobucket installed an edit feature where you could add all kinds of nifty filters, frames, and borders. It's definitely a lotta fun to play with, huh? XD And I hope you continue to let the Canvas Tutor app inspire you to sketch a little every day. Keep it up, Amy-bunny!!

Oh, that's such a cute idea! You should do a whole line-up of humanized berry ballet dancers, along that training pole like they do in the studio. XD
Yeah, that's something I always noticed in movies like Black Swan, how skinny and long the dancers' builds are. I'm sure there's a lot of core work involved and all those reaching poses pull the rib cage out. It does actually make your Gi Jinka look more realistic. Hmm, it does have that "nose in the air" attribute, putting the head back like that, which makes it tough to show a nicer expression. The only thing I could think to do is put a huge, open smile on her face, to show she's having fun. But then I could see her instructor rapping her knuckles with a ruler and being all, "Take it seriously!"
Aw girl, don't beat yourself up so bad. I think there's a lot of people that take their warm up drawings seriously and have to think up an idea and poses. The idea stage is what takes me the longest, too, and I can never get a decent sketch the first time. I think they're just about loosening your hand muscles, though, huh? The warm-up sketch?
Photobucket changed in the past couple of years. They now have an online store where you can sell your photographs and artwork as prints (framed, posters, on canvas, and even on metal plates) or products (mugs, pillows, mouse pads, blankets, etc.) and yes, even a whole editing section. They have basics like Photoshop does, plus filters, frames, stickers, text... It's pretty cool! Unfortunately it's still riddled with ads that stall out my PC.
OH! Whoa, Canvas Tutor actually gives you time restrictions? That's brutal. Oh my gosh, staaaahhpp~ You do NOT suck, Amy-bunny! You just like to take your time and put your all into every little drawing you make. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. I think you just need to let go sometimes and free your hand. I'd use time restraints and warm-ups as doodle time; instead of focusing on "inking the perfect face", just grab your ink pen and ink any old face!
Absolutely and always! You're always welcome, sweetpea!! It's my pleasure, because I sure as heck don't wanna see you give up on something you're not only passionate about, but you have so much talent and potential and drive for!! Never quit arting!! YOU ROCK, M'DEAR!!! \m/ (^_^) \m/Β

Hey, if you ever feel up to the challenge, using ballet dancers as references and studying their poses and how they move would be interesting! I bet you could learn a lot through their dramatic movements, and even all those elegant hand gestures. (Man, I seriously need to get back into studying art again. I've just been so demotivated, ugh.)
Oh well, I guess there is a fine line between looking like an arrogant crazy villain, and happily having a good time. Reminds me of a bit of dialogue from the movie National Treasure: "One step down from 'crazy', what do you get?" "... Obsessed!" "Passionate." But seriously, I like her here. Her expression looks quite professional and confident, and that's how I think ballet dancers train and consider themselves. They're kinda on that same level as equestrians to me. XD
Really? I kinda envy that. I struggle with ideas and mapping out poses, and most of the time I never even get to the detailing stage 'cuz I screw up the rough draft so terribly I chuck the pencil across the room and quit. But you know, I definitely know you as a perfectionist, the devil's in the details sort, so I can see that. Hopefully someday you can feel confident enough to not care about timing yourself against others. I think once you have that "I don't care" attitude, you'll find you'll become more open and in fact quicker. Good luck to you, Amy-bunny!
Yeah, Photobucket really upped their game in the last few years. That's basically why I originally used them, too. Just to store photos for online use, since they did automatically generate universal HTML codes for you.
Of course! It's always my pleasure, sweetpea!! I'm always here for you!! I sincerely do hope to see you start drawing again, maybe posting your sketches more regularly here on dA. I miss all the Dawesomeness~!!
You say romance and original like it'll ever happen... But seriously, thank you for the interest and sweet thought! Although I'd feel bad tagging you all the time just because I upload something. It's not a trouble for me, but everyone will think I'm being needy or something, and I don't wanna bother you constantly 'cuz I know how busy you get. Really, it's okay if you take awhile to sort through your Notifications. I mean, I just draw for fun so it's not like the end of the world if you don't see it ASAP, you know?
YOU'RE WELCOME~!!

those are such lovely legs and the proportions for the pose is top notch!
And the grass theme for the ballerina outfit is sexy, I like Β the leaves that looks like a skirt.
the hairstyle is quite elegant to with those sinister eyes.
