Sometimes, the most painful thoughts we can have are the ones which make us feel alone.
This song and its video seem to emphasise the need to party in order to belong, and the fear that when the party is over, there is nothing left but solitude

When the party is over and the crowds drifted away
The bright lights turn to darkness and her sparkle fades to grey

The music turns to silence ringing loudly in her ears
The laughter just an echo mocking all her darkest fears

Her lonely thoughts are sobering, her happiness is brief
Painful memories awake to resurrect her grief

Her loneliness is hidden by her shallow painted smile
Far from her adoring horde, elation is so fragile

A suitcase in the corner of another hired room
Reiterate the emptiness like a song without a tune

All of this is empty with no place she can belong
With no one to take comfort from, eternally alone
