Did you foresee them being lovers if you had developed that campaign?

Everything in my campaign always depended on what the players did. The campaign could have went in such a way that she and the monster would become lovers, but only if the heroes were negligent and were not acting like heroes.

Yes, the stories we could tell about PCs. Β I had quite the gaming group for a few years m'self. Was well mixed age, gender, racial etc... I mean the Players themselves not just the player characters.

I live in a relatively small community so in regards to gaming, you're pretty much stuck with a very small group of players, andΒ since the selection pool is small I can't find players who are more interested in the story than their own characters grab for power. My campaigns are all operas; one huge main theme with the small adventures leading the characters to some ultimate story payoff that's years down the line. Unfortunately most of the players want instant gratification, and aren't patient to pay attention to the little hints and foreshadowing I drop in to each adventure as to what the big picture is. They're usually so petty they actually try to keep track of other players experience points and whine when someone else levels before they do. They totally miss the point of RPG games. Sad. I was actually looking forward to this story arc. It *could* have been epic. Instead, it disintegrated.

This is great. Love the line work. They would be an exciting couple.

I see the hints of romance -- or maybe I'm projecting my own desires upon the image.Β
It would be an interesting offshoot of the story, if during the "Spartacus" option of the campaign Garok and Jo found love between each other.Β Would it be a lasting thing, and the two would continue going on adventures together?Β If the revolution were successful, would Garok become king/democratically-elected ruler and she his queen; or at least consort?Β Would it be merely a fling, and the two part ways due to differing lifestyles?Β Was it just a ruse to convince her to come to his homeland for selling to slavery, or does the playacting lead to true feelings?Β Would it end in tragedy, with Garok dying heroically during the revolution?Β The possibilities boggle me.

Yes, it could have gone anywhere. I was looking forward to it, but like I said, the person playing Garok went out of his way to ruin the campaign. Never ever entrust a major plot device to a player. NPC's rule!

I always thought they would have human feet...
I am in a campaign were the Halflings are Slavic, Minotaurs are "Greek" sailors and Elves are Slavic Steppe Wild Elves (white haired, white skinned long haired skinny Checs) that ride around in Chinese manned Kites and have Russian Phoenix motifs and carved Bone masks and act like Laplanders herding reindeer but carrying Longbows...

This has always been one of my favorite Joanna pics! I love the minotaur, it happens to be my favorite mythic creature!
