WARNING, Spoilers for Transformers: Cyberverse Season 4/ Series Finale!!! Read at your own risk.

So at the end of the Transformers: Cyberverse Season 4 Finale, "The Perfect Decepticon", Soundwave sacrificed himself to save Cybertron from Tarn (A sentient "Perfect Decepticon" drone from Megatron X's dimension). However before the series of events that happened in my fanfic, Crossover Odyssey, the events of "The Perfect Decepticon" does still happen the way that they did in the canon version of the finale, however there is one major difference. Both Soundwave and Tarn survive at the end. The way that this happened was that when Tarn was about to put the Cortex Helm back on, Shadow Striker (Freed from the Perfect Decepticons) grabbed a blaster and shot the Helm out of Tarn's hands. Soundwave then tackled Tarn pinning him on the ground, only for Tarn to throw him to the side and get the Cortex Helm. However Shadow Striker took the Helm, and used it to order the Perfect Decepticons to aim their cannons at Tarn. Tarn, seeing that he was surrounded by Autobots, Decepticons, The Dinobots, AND Perfect Decepticons, decided to surrender, and he was then placed in captivity by both Jetfire and Skybyte. Hot Rod then went to aid Soundwave, who was heavily damaged from his fight from Tarn, although luckily Ratchet was able to repair him and he made a full recovery. From there the ending plays out, only this time Soundwave is among his peers and even get's into a relationship with Shadow Striker, and the Autobots and Decepticons now finally united cheer out "ALL ARE ONE!!!". And as for the Perfect Decepticons and Tarn, the Perfect Decepticons were given true freedom from their programming Megatron X gave them, and Tarn is in a prison where he plans to get his revenge...

So that's the story for how Soundwave is alive in my fanfic, and the introduction of Tarn as a villain in my fanfic.
