General - side is good. Barrett .50 is one of my favorite gun designs. Along with M16 rifle and HK MP5.

They have a very cool aesthetics, I will say. But the gas-operated bolt system is really crappy. In basic I carried a vietnam-era '16 and the darned thing was horrible and extremely sensitive to dirt - exactly what you don't want in a combat rifle. Ours suffered constant jams and one of the guys in my platoon had a major failure where the rifle's bolt exploded out the side of the receiver. He could have been killed. Anyhow... The M-15/AR-15 design is a piece of junk that they have been working on improving for nearly 40 years. ugh.

Yes, I know that dirt problem too. Especially when compared to Kalashnikovs, but on the other hand you can shoot someone from a decent distance with it. Furthermore I know I wont ever own one - anything with bolt action or higher RoF than shotgun is illegal in here, so I can admire the aesthetics only. If I decide to play a computer game and I see crappy looking weapons there, I can't possibly enjoy it. I think my love for good looking assault weaponry started long time ago when I saw that assault rifle in Aliens.
About that M-15 :/ US sold a huge bunch of them to my army. It was so embarrassing to watch that on TV...

It's the same background - my studio has a built in sweep that I made out of heavy duty particle board and plywood. After I am done shooting, I just paint it with a big old roller; it takes about 1/4 gallon and takes just a few minutes. The paint is much cheaper than paper, and it holds up pretty well.
The reason for the color change is just I was feeling quirky that day.

That's Marcus' gun. He has the coolest toys. There's a video on his web site of the gun opening up a little fire safe. Pretty cool. Love the photo by the way!

It has a kick but it's a 25-lb chunk of iron with a big blast deflector. It's about like firing full house slugs out of a 12-ga shotgun. The blast effects, though, are stunning. It kind of makes your brain go "WTF just happened"
That scope cost quite a bit more than the rifle.

That's a US Optics 8-22 zoom scope with an 80mm objective. You can read the cover of a paperback with it at 200 yards.
Ammo's not cheap. I have a couple of boxes of military ball I got surplus that I've been working through. I don't fire it much, to tell the truth.
And as far as listing the rest of my gun collection.. urrr... we don't have time for that.

I love your stock. I had no idea u were a gun collector 2. I suppose all or most of the firearms that u use in your stock are part of your collection. Pretty nice "expensive" collection.

Looks like a Barrett, which is easily 5K dollar rifle when you have a scope like that on it. Loaner?
