Description

The Howler is a single species in it's genus. Drevide from basal carnivorous lemurs, their closest living relative is the Riverine lemur.

They are the apex predators on Indrindra. They're very versetile in terms of habitat, living from the Tsanganan forest, down to the polar savanna. They are solitary predators, contact with another member of their species outside of the mating season results in confrontation. To avoid this, they mark their territory with their urine and feces.

Being solitary, they rely on stealth to hunt. This requires strong front arms to grab onto their victim. Their most common prey are small animals but they can and will bring down large herbivores like kitronys and megadromeid birds.
