She got a DailyDeviation the other day for one of her other photos and - well - I just had to paint *something* from her gallery. This one turned out really nice (I guess all those abstract texture pieces *are* helping - LOL). I think it looks better in person (of course), but I love the circuitry-esque pattern that peeks through all over.

Minor differences (like eye and shirt color) were made for stylistic reasons... if this were a proper portrait, yes I would have left her eyes brown.

It's not a consistent thing. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. :/

Oh i knw that... but I think im missing some piece of mind that recognizes what makes a persons face... Just cant put it on paper...

Well, that is a documented neurological deficiency. Me, I can only do it on paper (in real life -> can not for the life of me identify people in a crowd, not even family members-!).

25+ years? "Actively" is a relative term, though. Since high school, it's just been weekends and holidays for me. I was unemployed for a few years here and there where I was able to devote a little more time to it, but for the most part, it's still that thing I have to squeeze into the rest of my life. :/

That's sad. But also, its okay, because most of the population can't draw, cant express themselves.
Even drawing and squeezing it in like that is better then nothing at all.
I hope you find more time to draw.
