Never read the books or anything, but this is a great scene. It reminds me of a world from MYST, if you ever played that computer game. Really gorgeous for a speed painting!

Me neither, till a friend of mine started rambling about how bad he thought the movie was compared to the book, while I had no idea what he was talking about (since I'm not that much of a reader anymore). But I also just saw the movie, though it was nice... ^^

I like all those little lights; though I don't really know what they could be, it could easily fit into His Dark Materials. Have you read the second and third books, too? I wonder how the film adaptations will turn out...
