What Tie would like to know (thats me) is what is the thought process behind your landscapes? Where does the inspiration come from? I like the one with the lava very much btw.

Well in this case I used a method sometimes called "photobashing" where you throw a bunch of photos all over a canvas to create chaos. In that chaos you'll find shapes that you wouldn't normally think of! Here's what these thumbs looked like before I started painting: i.gyazo.com/366de0ef57ca0959a1…
However, with other landscapes paintings I take an image and blur it out completely to then use the colors as a starting point. Here's an example: i.gyazo.com/f76dbf05717b9d37a9… this turns into this: Caribou Trail

Whoa! ! No worries man ! ! It's ok. I honestly wasn't expecting such an in depth response ! I just couldn't help but notice you have such an interest in landscapes. This is how I'd be if someone asked me about rifles yknow?? I really like the idea of photobashing it sounds like a great way to whip up a creative background.
