i feel the exact same way about him growing up... when i found batman, i fell in love with nightwing. when my older bro wasnt around, i would pretend nightwing was there and we would play and laugh. when i think about how we BOTH grew up, i get pretty emotional... i get it.

It's funny that you should mention how emotional his growing up gets you 'cause I also tend to choke up a bit over similar thoughts. Like with Wally West, or Bart even. I thought it was just me! DC has quite the knack for "Legacy Superheroes". There's always a mantle to don, or shoes to be filled...
So about your pic. Good stuff. I especially like your approach to anatomy. Accurate enough, but exaggerated in all the right (Shoulders, waist-line,...)places, giving it that comic- book feel. Also I love the sketchiness. Keep it up
