Anyone who can't feel the music from that boom box is deaf and has had their skin desensitized! There are some boxes that have come out in the last 10+ years that use an array of smaller, but higher wattage speakers and actually put out higher fidelity music and will drown some of those big boxes totally out. In either case, those or the one you have can put out enough decibels to blow you plum out of Central Park or the back 40, depending on whether you live in NY or in the Southwest.
