just because the buildings look scruffy outside doesn't mean that the people inside are poor. Seems to be a common thing in Hong Kong that the buildings are poorly maintained on the outside but well maintained inside. Trust me, I live here.

wasn't being arsey by the way then, just read it back and thought it may have sounded a bit arsey. but yeah, most places look a lot worse outside than they do inside.
