One day, I got to learn more of RMXP before I can do that, though I can at least get the character picture done before then...eventually.

But anyway, it is not programmed yet so for now it's just... photoshop skills ?

And the character is very important, this menu would be not-so-good without this artwork (not drawn by myself ).

But your work is good enough so you can use it this way.
And if you still feel unsatisfied you should find good artists here, who work for free if your projects is interesting to them.

Ah well I am not in doubt about my character drawing abilities. Some of the pictures I have done have been for my game project, just not for the status menu. But the idea is to have a near full to full body image like this for the status menu...debating on whether or not to change the battlers over for that and use animated sprite movement in my game for fighting or keeping the default RMXP battle system.

I just have loads to do and commission work takes up a lot of time when I'm not taking care of my kids.

Actually it was just meant to be an artwork, not showed anywhere in the game. Our battlers are animated sprites for a side view battle system.

I see....well people often change their mind, as I am thinking of doing. And I was thinking of a system maybe more like how Zelda: Link's Awakening is, as far as animation sprites go. But we'll see, there's only so much one can do being a new to it.

No, I haven't changed my mind much at all...it was something I had been thinking on for a long while. The only thing that would keep me from actually doing it is if I can't get all the action sprites to work right...I usually edit from existing sprites for my own to create original characters. I have some action sprites to work from so maybe I can do it.

Spriting is definitely a lot of work, even more if you animate them. Sprite editing is a good way I think, especially for animation.
Just out of curiosity, what game(s) do the sprite you usually use come from ?

Most are from RMXP defaults, not really from any game specifically. I don't actually use them, I just use their outfits to create new ones and create new hairstyles by mixing other existing ones together.

Hé oui ses artworks et ses sprites ont été très appréciés !
Les icones sont provisoires par contre, j'en ai même utilisée une pour faire l'arme sur le sprite de combat (provisoirement évidemment oO).

Le jeu sera jouable sur PC, on fera une ou plusieurs démos pour commencer...mais même les démos, c'est loin ! Sinon, il y a des gens qui planchent pour adapter les jeux RPG Maker sur XBox360 aussi, donc ça pourrait aussi arriver là dessus (mais bon, avec la grande résolution de la Xbox on perdra un peu le coté "pixelart" quand même :/).

haaaaa, alors là j'ai encore plus envie de connaitre les choix finaux ^^.

Je me doute bien que tout ça va prendre du temps, mais attendre, c'est ce qui rends le jeux encore plu apréciable

Dommage je n'ai pas d' Xbox, mais comme j'adore les pixels, ça ne me gêne pas ^^

Le truc c'est que sur xbox, soit on a un gros cadre noir autour, soit faut aggrandir, et lisser. Des fois ca rend bien, mais c'est pas pixel !
Ou alors, on peut juste voir "plus loin" et tout fait la meme taille, si tu vois ce que je veux dire...

Oh mince, je vais devoir expliquer x)

Actuellement, les maps du jeu sont faites avec des cases de 32 pixels sur 32, vu la taille de la fenetre ça fait un ecran de jeu de 20 case par 20. Pour faire passer sur une plus grande résolution, soit on aggrandit les cases, soit on met plus de cases... C'est de ça que je parlais.
