Description Have fun you guys.
Always name your bones, joints and physics so their easy to identify.
=
I tried to explain this as simple as I could.

ALWAYS make sure your base/model has base physics! Otherwise you have to add them or add a bone set that has them.

Conect The Top Ponytail Bone To The Head Bone, If That Doesn't Work, See If The Bones Have The Same Name, If So, Rename Them Like Ponytail1, Ponytail2 And You Get The Idea,Β

I have a question, so I managed to connect the joint together on a model's hair physics, but it still drops down to the floor. I tried it in two different versions of PMX editor, so I don't know what's up with the joints. Is it just a glitch? Because it's driving me nuts!

I know this is a rather old tutorial, but I'm wondering if there's a way to make physics move a bit more gently/smootly. Like, say hair physics, rather than them flinging around when the model does a full 360, if they followed gently. I'm not so great with joints and physics, but I am definitely better than I was yesterday.

Hey. I have a big question. I have hair physics and joints and bones. For whatever reason... They won't make the hair move.

Emo-Flowers In reply to Captain-Espana [2014-12-01 07:12:26 +0000 UTC]

I don't know if you still need help, but have you weighted the hair to the bones?
The material needs to be weighted to the bone for it to move when the bone moves, and since PH & Joints are a buddy of bones, they move the bones.
That - or your PH & Joints could be too stiff?

Sorry if I'm not helpful > w <

That happens to me too! If I have any joints at all, then MMD crashes..
It's frustrating.. x_x

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

FoolsKatt In reply to MangoMercury [2015-04-12 00:50:55 +0000 UTC]

I know this is kinda late to respond to this, but it may be that its crashing because you have a joint that does have a physical to connect to. In general, get rid of only the joint that is doesnt have a physical near it.

I have a model who, when I move him around, his side bangs stick to the center of the screen, and I can't figure out how to fix that. Physics on or off, it happens either way.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MMDFakewings18 In reply to inside-our-mind [2013-09-04 22:04:29 +0000 UTC]

Its the bones!

The hair bones need to have the HEAD bone as their parent bone.

If you high light the bones in PMDe, you'll probably see a box that says -1 in it, that means its connected to nothing so it won't follow anything properly.

Do you know how ot connect bones? C: I think I have a thing in my tutorials.

inside-our-mind In reply to MMDFakewings18 [2013-09-05 03:04:28 +0000 UTC]

I saw a tutorial, not sure if it was yours, but I seem to have a tough time with them either way... I only have a partially translated PMDE. :/
