I can't tell if you are making a joke with the dead thing and Aerith, but yeah. Can I ask you what you use to convert models? I started trying to learn how rig models recently, I learned how to convert on Blender but is there an easier way or no? I lose patience quick. Dx

She's looking lovely so far though. Aerith is best girl, like this makes me so happy to see. I was gonna use her as my test subject with learning, but I decided against it because I don't wanna mess her up. ;~;

I use a program all u-model for the actual model ripping which then I covert to a obj file another way is to use xnalara if someone has converted it and sve on there the model as a obj file. If I go the xnalara route I then put in blender and apply textures and save again as a obj file then I put on metasequioa which then I separate the head and hair make facials in metasequioa and convert her face and body. Edit her hair in meta and save sepratly and begin cutting layers in pmx with the hair to make it not see through. Fix the textures on the model then add all my spa files finish and edit faicals then add physics where needed that's my process.

I would say go for it it's better to rig on a character your passionate about as that's how I started I always worked on Zack who is my fav character even if it's a bad rig keep the model and have separate ones to show progress I still have one of my first zacks I did which I though was awesome in everyway now though not so much I can see where I went wrong and so on. The point is don't let something like you not giving the character a just rig stop you from doing it as its a good way to learn.

Sounds like the basics from the tutorials I read just not the Meta program. I'll take it slow to learn how the programs work. I've haven't done facials yet, but the only way to learn is to keep trying right? Now just to find more time.

True, but I'm passionate with any model of a character I'd choose? I have a lot of interests and so many characters deserve love, but I think you are right. I should choose someone I have the most love for. Make it worth it in the end and I'll want to keep coming back and keep improving. Thanks for the advice.

dude how did you get the hair to look like that? I know i overlayed the hair texture to cover up some bald spots on sephiroth, but it still looks a lil wonky on my end.

I did the same texture thing as you but then I went into the hair and separated the layers which looks okay without a shader but once you add the serious-dark shader I think (not on my pc right now) it makes the hair look like this I'm still fixing her hair hopfully to get this effect without a shader
