History: Raised in a poor family. Shiiro's mother was constantly sick and required expensive medicines and treatments, but his father was a mere shoemaker who could barely manage to get enough food for each day.
Shiiro had never gone to school. His family couldn't afford it and he had to stay home to take care of his mother.
One day his mother's condition worsened and the doctor told them she needed to get an immediate surgery. To save her life, his father borrowed some money from a local gang, but Shiiro's mom's surgery was put on hold because rich patients had the priority and she passed away. His father had lost the love of his life, but still had to work extra hours to pay back what he owned. One month later, he was unable to do so and the gang set their house on fire while they were sleeping. Shiiro's dad never woke up, but Shiiro was saved by a local passerby. He was only 7 and had lost both his parents.

After that, with no family left, he had to find ways to survive in the street. He stole food and managed for almost a year. One day, when he was just about to steal some bread, he saw a little girl who was crying. He asked her what was wrong and she said she couldn't find her parents. Shiiro knew how hopeless and sad he felt after loosing his parents, so he decided to help her. They found a nice grandma who lived next to her and took them with her parents. When the girl jumped into her parents arms and they scolded her, Shiiro's suppresed feelings bursted out, he couldn't stand his loneliness anymore and broke down realizing his parents were never coming back.
The old lady tried to ask him what was wrong and when he couldn't respond because of his crying, she took him home and gave him a cup of warm milk. Shiiro told her what had happened and because she saw he was a good kid, she decided to take him in.

The old grandma cared for Shiiro as if he was her own grandson. She owned a small bakery and a bunch of cats. At first, he barely spoke and barely smiled and his only friends were the old lady's cats [which explains his infatuation with them], but little by little he became more sociable. When he became 12, he started helping her out in the bakery and soon he began interacting with more people and became more outgoing. 4 years later, the old grandma passed away. The shop and all her stuff were taken by the government and Shiiro found himself in the streets again. This time, with a bunch of cat's. He tried looking for jobs, but doing that with a group of cat's following him around was not helpfull. One week later, a weird man came to him and asked Shiiro if he was interested in working for him. Because he said he would give him a small apartment where he could live with his cats and a weekly salary depending on how well he performed, Shiiro accepted.
Since then, he's been living a fairly decent life. Every week he receives a letter with a list of things he has to steal and the place they have to be delivered to.
