I wanted to draw Sapphire with his pearls. He has Melo Pearl and Lavender Pearl. Melo is a defective pearl because she is clumsy, forgetful, and speaks too freely which leads her to being a terrible assistant. Sapphire took her in and she's served as his pearl for a few hundred years, but he has to correct how she is in public often.
Lavender is a custom, high quality pearl that was crafted just for him. He had her made by Candy Jade, who specialized in creating pearl. She has only been with him for a few months, however she already anticipates his needs, understands what behavior he expects, and she's basically perfect. He doesn't usually bother with perfect gems, but with his workload increasing he needed a Pearl that would be able to help him efficiently. Melo is very jealous of Lavender and dislikes her perfection.
