Honestly, I think guns would work better against wizards than magic would. With how tactically brilliant and powerful militaries worldwide are - including that of England - a unit of death eaters attacking, say, London Castle (or whatever itβs called) would probably be signing a death warrant. Besides, given Wizardkinds lack of extensive knowledge of Muggle life - especially military equipment and tactics - they would probably not consider the British Royal Army a legitimate threat until the bodies start piling up. Proof: an untrained man with a magic wand versus a heavily trained, experienced soldier with an SA80, likely with a grenade launcher. Take your pick. And god forbid the Americans or Russians get involved. π±

I'll trust you on that . I haven't read Harry Potter books ( fire at will, people ! ^^) , I'm just talking about my movies experiment . He's really pitiful in the last movie, though it's understandable because most of the Horcruxes were destroyed .

Actually he could just defect it. The 'stupefy' spell is supposed to have the same amount of energy as a gun, but it isn`t strong enough to burn the victim. He could literally use the wands to control the weapons... and then the trio would just kill themselves.

Toms biggest weakness is his obsession with magic, if he had actually tried to fight the muggles something very similar would have occcored.
