Skogafoss... Right next to me, were a lot of other people taking pictures with very professional and expensive photo equipment. The problem they just had:
They didn't have any clue of taking long exposure pictures or how to get these floating waterlines. Once again it came up to my mind, that only your skills are essential and not the kind of equipment you use
...Software:
Adobe Lightroom 4
Adobe Photoshop CS5.1
Equipment:
Camera: Nikon D3100
Lens: Nikkor AF-S 18mm - 55mm
Filter: Haida ND1.8 / ND64
Remote Control: Minadax LCD Timer
Technique:
ND-Filter, 3 secs exposure, Tripod. That's it!
Location:
"Skogafoss" β South Iceland

A fantastic scenery you turned into an amazing surreal world photowork!!! I love all in it. Light, wich you managed so greatly getting beautiful lights and shadows and revealing rough textures as well as delicate water misty spray and fall motion blur. I love the monochromatic option and quality. Tones are wonderful. Great the heavy vigneting which concentrates the viewer attention into the more significant zone. Congratulations you performed a really great artwork!

All I did in post-production was actually just black&white, contrast, sharpening and a little colortone. that's it
