So, after a few months i thought it'd be time to work some on this, and upload a WIP! i'm almost done with the woman, just some little pieces i need to work on.i have nรณ idea though what i should do with the background. i mean, i tried to figure out what kind of look is on her face, whats on her mind, in what kind of a situation she's in. but.. i have no idea.. is she feeling almost arrogantly pride, is she being suppressed by someone else, or is she finding the wall against which she's standing just so very interesting.. it's all possible, and at the same time it isn't.. what's your opinion about it, d'you have any ideas? enlighten me please!!

well, at the moment i'm having it too busy for drawing at รกll, but if i need a model anytime soon, i'll keep you in mind!

yes! i have an idea! the first thing which came to my mind as i saw the thumb(i.e. before i read the artist's comment) was: a dancing woman 
her hair looks awesome!! great work!

The flush left composition is such an unusual and beautiful thing, so, if I was deciding on a background, I'd pick something that doesn't undercut the strength of that-- I wouldn't get caught up in the idea of something of equal weight on the right side to "balance it out"-- instead, I'd use something that emphasizes that hard left, and something that doesn't distract from the exquisite details you've managed with the subject... Okay, if it was me, I'd work out a flowing pattern of graphic designs, probably with French curves, suggesting a painting or wallpaper on the wall behind her; I'd do just outlines of it, and where they meet up at the figure, I'd have those lines just as dark as the outlines in the figure (but NO DARKER), and, as they reached the right side, I'd have them fading out to nearly invisible...
This is a gorgeous piece, and the background should only be designed to enhance it, not obscure it...
