Firstly, I used Azalea's delightful Heroine maker for this. My own artwork is not nearly as awesome as this.

I decided to make the 12 Dancing Princesses, partly because I wanted to make copious amounts of princesses, and partly because I love the idea of a tremendous amount of princesses and their intertwining relationships. We are ignoring age differences for now - since there is no way to make children, we will have to assume that each princess gets younger as you progress through them.

Marien is the eldest, and takes on nearly all of the emotional and physical responsibility this entails. She is fiercely loyal to her family, especially her father, and will defend them at all costs, physical or otherwise. Therefore, she tends to lose herself in the midst of everything: by constantly supporting and building up her sisters, she most oftentimes forgets herself. However, this is not to say that she doesn't have a personality. She can be intense and passionate, sarcastic and quick, but she has a kind heart and a tremendous amount of empathy for her fellow human being. The most musical of the sisters, her strong and warm soprano soars above most other voices, and her soul is most at peace when she is singing.

While she loves all of her sisters, she feels almost removed from them as a sister, because she spends all of her time worrying about them and building them up. However, she is closest to Arla, Drynna, and Gypsa. Being the eldest, she is adorned in gold, including her tiara, unlike her younger sisters, whose tiaras are hand carved mother of pearl.
