But I love this comic, it's a very good job and it really helps to understand history [: I like more serious interpretations of history, since Hetalia is such a silly series ^^ ;

You know, people say North Korea is doing good economically, but it's not. If you look at the world at night, you'll see that South Korea is full of light, while in North Korea, it's pitch black. Except for the area in the capital. That's communism for ya.

Of course NK is doing bad. With the collapse of the Soviet Union and the sanctions from the U.S. they have been having a very difficult time maintaining food and power. Many people have starved to death as a result. Their system worked for a number of years, but no longer. Some people have been able to defect to SK, but out of all who try, not many. Since China is allies with NK and usually the route defectors take, they often capture and arrest them, sending them back to their homeland for their sentence.

I mean no offense to South Koreans but it KINDA makes sense that S. Korea is kinda helpless against N.Korea at the time since S.Korea is more focused on agriculture while N.Korea was more industrialize. That's why after the "official" end of the Korean War, N.Korea was able to recover economically while S.Korea became one of the poorest countries in the world. Hard to think of S.Korea and N.Korea that way in terms of today's time but it was true :/. However S.Korea became more focused on building and expanding their international economic ties while N.Korea focused on Jurche(?) and wanted international isolation, even breaking ties with Soviet and China. So yea...sorry for the history lesson OTL

I'm not quite sure of what to think of South Korea's "feelings" on the armistice other than to end this freaking war ASAP cuz they weren't getting anywhere lol.

Well, the South and North, to this day, have never really reconciled (they are still technically are in a state of war, or rather, an extended cease-fire). In 2007, they proposed a summit that would eventually declare peace, but I don't think they ever quite came to that point.
The South managed to turn around its fortunes to become one of the 'Asian Tigers' (I hate that term, it sound stupid, heh) a few decades later. By comparison, North Korea actually enjoyed good economic growth by any standard--despite the estimate of loosing 1 million citizens--to become the second biggest economy in East Asia (behind Japan, and head of the South). This changed sharply in the 1970s, when failed policies reversed a lot of those gains, joined by social upheaval and the shifting mineral market. The South did not really become a democratic state, as wildly understood, until the late 1990s (same as Taiwan). Worse of all for the North, relations with the USSR degraded in the 1970s/80s as the USSR tried to foster a profitable relationship with the South.
So, in other words, "resignation"? lol. That was a summary of things, of course.

I honestly don't know LOL. I wanted to give everyone different war weapons and he just ended up with grenades. Bombing during the war was quite popular, so I had to put it in somehow. And we all know America isn't America without guns.
