Description For a friend who is feeling the loss of someone acutely right now and for everyone who feels alone, this is for you too.

Also to the Great British public who are mourning the loss of our non existent summer

100% photoshop. Hand drawn outlines on my Wacom Graphire with a solid, hardedged brush, coloured using the medium chalk brush and texture overlays from:

Blotchy watercolour and grungey concrete textures
Woven texture on scarf
Ridged painted texture
Shiny grungey texture (I love her stock!)

About 6 hours on and off. Probably more.

Really gorgeous textues and hues. I can't help wishing it was done with traditional paper and paints, though. . . stilll it is lovely and emotive.

I love traditional media for the fact you can touch it, but there are things you can do with a wacom and photoshop that you could never achieve traditionally.

I really love this. It's rare that you see brushes used like traditional brushes, to give colour to a piece... and I really love the colours. Everything in it screams autumn.

I'm enjoying the whole digital painting thing - it;s so different to traditional painting. Easier in that mistakes can be got rid of in a click, harder in that it is easier to get obsessed and over do EVERYTHING
