I've been a bit sick of late and thought I'd get started with my art again with something from Poser.Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered with Firefly in Poser Pro 11. Tweaked for color, contrast and a blurring vignette in Photoshop. The mesh is based on Pauline who isn't as pretty as the Daz Genesis 3 meshes but bends as nicely. Note especially the nice shape of her shoulders, knees and the way her thigh bends at the hip without much distortion. I find the pale Goth look exotic so I attempted something of that here. I think the crossed leg pose is quite sexy but nearly impossible to do convincingly with a 3D mesh. I like to think I came pretty close here.

Thank you, Johnny. Just messing with figures, textures, lighting and posing is a good exercise when you're not feeling too inspired, I find. I really think Pauline (just as Roxy before her) is a neglected figure.

I've been diving into this myself. Using Daz for the moment though I also have Poser.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I have DAZ Studio as well (Who doesn't? DAZ gives it away in the hope of selling content.), but I've invested so much time and energy in Poser it's difficult for me to consider switching. The new Genesis 3 characters are so pretty, though, that it's quite tempting even though learning a whole new program would be an enormous pain in my bottom.
We shall see.
