Sad story. Then again, at 11 years old I was already making my own lunch. I don't get why they get to be so old and still have their mom make them lunch (well, one of them anyway).

Yes! very true. Nim is super spoiled by the mom, so Nim thinks if moms making her lunch, then she should be making lunch for Mina too. The mom is very weird and she treats Nim like she's 5 or something.
Mina likes making her own lunch, but sometimes she would like if her mom did/said something
positive to her once in a while like she does to Nim. Even though she doesnt really expect it.
