I was looking thru the MGC archives and reminiscing. I starting entering MGC in 1998 with the first contest to design the mascot. (I made it to the final three but Siryn's Ekka & Pinto were the favorites. It wouldn't have been MGC without them.) I didn't enter every contest and those that I did enter, I didn't always win. In fact there were times when I barely got voted on. (Which was depressing but what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. Art is a tough gig.)

I was surprised to learn that I actually won 22 times -- shocking! Some of them I really feel I didn't deserve because they were something I just scribbled up on the spur of the moment and entered just for the sake of entering. ("Koiji Komic" comes to mind because I did it in a fit of nerves and uploaded it the morning I went into the hospital for surgery.)

Older stuff is on the left, newer on the right. The top and bottom row are a little out of sync because they were horizontal pieces and I thought they'd look better as end rows.

Whew! I still can't believe that I won all these! Still, that wouldn't have been possible if it hadn't been for the MGC staff and most importantly, all of you guys here at Dev Art, the Gargoyles fandom, and others that took the time to drop by MGC to cast your votes.

So here's to all of you -- I would be nothing without you.
