At last, my submission to the LouisxLestat fans group contest! WOO!
I usually don't take inspiration from songs, but as I was drawing this, Run by Snow Patrol came on and I found myself trying to convey the song on paper.
This takes place somewhere between Memnoch the Devil and Merrick, when Lestat's in his "coma" state. I remember reading about how Louis would sit with Lestat, who wasn't really even there spiritually, and would talk to him, or read to him, or just sit there. I felt so touched by how Louis gave Lestat his support by just being there.
In this picture, Louis sets aside the book he was reading and leans over Lestat, studdying him sadly and quietly. Then he murmurs, "Can you hear my voice?" Lestat remains unresponsive.
...Hey, it gets happy in the end! xD Hahaha.
Man did this thing give me a hard time. But after my epic battle with the gradient tool (and a mass tutorial search) I came out on top, Photoshop! HA!

Louis and Lestat belong to Anne Rice. I don't own the Vampire Chronicles or the characters.
Run belongs to Snow Patrol. I don't own any part of the song or lyrics.

I was so extremely frustrated when I realized that Anne would hide the scene that I had been looking forward to read because the entire book was narrated from David's point of view D:
(But since we kind of know what happened we can use our own imagination )
