Description Lava Cookies look really good imo... I just want to taste one ;-;
Had this little idea of drawing May from PKMN Emerald to just be chilling with the nearby pokemon eating lava cookies I wanted a fun little picture with Pokemon doing silly thingsΒ  (owo)
A little environment practice but I'm not too happy with the result I have to practice more!!
Pokemon Emerald was my very first Pokemon game so it holds a place in my heart.
The location in the picture is Mt. Chimney, where you can buy lava cookies from an elderly lady.

your affinity with Gen 3 is like my affinity with Gen 2. I grew up playing Silver and now I'm playing Crystal on an emulator on my phone. i guess it's just something about the nostalgia you get when you look at those games.

Absolutely beautiful and really evokes fantastic memories. I love the original Hoenn games much more than the remakes; polished as they are, there were quite a few aspects which seemed to fall flat compared to the GBA originals. This is such a lovely artwork, it makes me feel very happy and peaceful looking at it.

Awww thank you very much I haven't played the remakes bc I haz no 3ds ._.Β  I personally prefer the old sprite style in-game compared to the current 3d ones. It feels more... uh real or personal I guess

The 3DS games do have fancy graphics, some great functions like the DexNav and all the updated features, but I feel some of the charm was lost. The darker back-story to the game seemed really unnecessary (all the stuff with Sea Mauville and everything surrounding that), I despised the Delta Episode due to it focusing on a thoroughly unlikable character and basically being 'Michael Bay meets Pokemon' while introducing the hideously overpowered Mega Rayquaza, and the soundtrack has lost a lot of its appeal.
I prefer the old style brass and timpani setup; they did get some music right but a lot of it seemed a bit off. For example, I absolutely love how the RSE edition of the Regi battle theme sounds; it's almost a warning siren, saying you're dealing with something beyond your control.
Thanks for capturing the spirit of the originals so well. I can basically hear the classic Route 113 theme - which actually pays homage to 'Snowman' from MOTHER 3.
