B...but I just wanted to cuddle them, I swear!An experiment that took me way too much time... When I draw something longer than a week, I start to hate it. Anyway, that's the story: as a child I loved creating new species, so now I wanted to try it once again. That's supposed to be something related to big cats, a bit bigger than a leopard, with very fierce character. They're born with a white mane that darkens with time.

Phenomenal Work! Just thinking about how hard that fur was gives me a headache.
You just don’t see many artists take that on, to complex and to much room for errors.
I am very much in awe of the level of skill you have.
Right down to the blurry bg, keeping focus in front.

Thank you for linking that, and for going so in depth, often people make tutorials and do not.
There is one feature I do not have with Gimp. Blend if.
I noticed you use a lot of layer modes, myself I avoid that because they don’t merge right.
So instead I set the brush mode (on a normal layer) to overlay/grain merge etc. Not sure if PS has that.
Haven't heard of anyone else using that but it is a great great feature to have.

What is it about humans that we either want to kill something out of fear or see if it can't be tamed and then hugged repeatedly. Or used as working pet to send after someone else. Also the fur makes me want to touch it too.
