everytime I try to paint fur, it ends up looking plasticy >.<
which i guess is cool for a semi realistic styleΒ

There's going to be a tutorial about painting a werewolf character in January, I've explained nicely how to create your own fur brush and how to use it without flattening the form
(I hate cast shadows, they can ruin whole picture if drawn improperly. So I always try to make them almost non-existent
