Kasumi “Kas” Kitsune:

BIO:
A demon fox trapped in a human's body. Kasumi is a rogue traveller on a journey to avenge the deaths of her family. In order to do this she must first find and defeat the powerful Dr. Tengu, a demon whose soul, once eaten, will endow the consumer with "world-crushing power." Kas believes that eating Dr. Tengu's soul will restore her lost fox abilities give her the strength to eliminate her family's killers. On her quest she is accompanied by Tombo, a tanuki who acts as her lackey and personal armory.

LIKES:

Fighting, winning fights, improving her skills, recieving praise, validating herself, scowling, and solitude

DISLIKES:

Humans, getting lectured, and losing

PERSONALITY:

Kas is stubborn, impatient, reckless, rude, and generally unsociable. She cares for little more than her mission and pummeling all those who get in her way. She has a short fuse and is quick to let her rage get the better of her. Her fiery exterior often clashes with the more laid back and level-headed Tom, who struggles to keep her mellow half the time. She is shy and doesn't like talking to people.

POWERS/STRENGTHS:

Having maintained some of her demonic powers, Kas has strength, endurance, and agility above that of a normal human being. She has a shapeshifting ability, although it is only limited to disguising herself as a human. Her tail also lets her generate and manipulate fire, with her flames growing more intense and powerful the more emotional she is. Her fire also greatly increases her strength, but at a price. Additionally, she can heal wounds much faster than a human can.

WEAKNESSES/FLAWS:

Despite being a bit stronger than the average human, Kas is a featherweight compared to any super-powered opponent. She isn't particularly smart and is easily outwitted. Her fox fire ability also hurts and strains her body, making her unable to spam it. Too much use of her fire will cause her body to collapse on itself and kill her.

Tombo “Tom” Tanuki:

SPECIES: Raccoon dog

OCCUPATION: demon, shapeshifter, thief

HEIGHT: 2’9”

WEIGHT: 5 lbs

WEAPONS: Leaves, 'nuki nuts, illusion magic

BIO:

Tombo is Kas's partner, weapon, and personal punching bag. Formerly an impoverished street performer hanging with the wrong crowd, Tom was "saved" by Kas when she passed through their town. Tom and his gang attempted to ambush Kas and rob her but were quickly defeated by the demon fox. Noticing Tom's knack for shapeshifting, Kas offered to spare his life in exchange for him becoming her lifelong servant. Tom now accompanies Kas on her quest to defeat Dr. Tengu, acting as her personal armory by transforming into a variety of weapons for her to use in combat.

LIKES:

Playing pranks on people, goofing off, sleeping, eating, and drinking

DISLIKES:

Working, waking up early, bullies, being lonely, unnecessary killing, and manual labor

PERSONALITY:

Tom is an all around carefree and lazy dude. He is extremely loyal to Kas and sees his alliance to her as a second chance for him to turn his life around. Unlike his partner, Tom is kind, thoughtful, upbeat, and empathetic to those around him. He is also quick to panic when the going gets tough and can be extremely cowardly. He dislikes fighting and strongly resents killing, though he will condone it if he feels its absolutely necessary, or if its to protect his Kas. He has a playful nature and has no problems approaching and talking to people.

POWERS/STRENGTHS:

As a Tanuki, Tom can use leaves to transform himself into a variety of different objects though size and shape play a big factor in his ability to mimic their appearance and traits (basically the more complex an object is, the harder time he'll have being able to turn into it.) His can also magically manipulate his "kintama" (ballsack) to stretch expand and harden to fulfill a myriad of tasks. Tom is also fairly agile and quick on his feet, making him rather hard to hit.

WEAKNESSES/FLAWS:

Tom's transformations are temporary and he can only stay transformed for a brief period of time. Unlike fox demons he requires leaves to be able to use his magic, so if he's out he's screwed. He's also a pint-sized runt and has no physical strength whatsoever. Perhaps Tom's biggest and most obvious weakness are his gigantic nuts which are incredibly vulnerable and shamelessly exposed half the time.
